Description
Tanglewood TW40-12 SD AN E Sundance Historic 12-String Electro-Acoustic Guitar
The Tanglewood TW40-12 SD AN E is part of the Sundance Historic series of acoustic guitars, designed to reproduce understated 1940s style, solid-top guitars.
The TW40-12 is a great example from the series – with a Solid spruce top and Mahogany back and sides this guitar gives a bright and warm tone that projects thanks to its Slope Shoulder Dreadnought body shape. The woods have been Kiln aged which really brings out the best of the wood and is only going to sound better with age.
This beautiful guitar also features a genuine bone nut and saddle, Waverly-style open gear tuners, soft v-shape neck and an antique stained natural gloss finish. Equipped with Elixir Nanoweb 12-53 Phosphor Bronze strings.
Includes a Tanglewood Deluxe Hard Foam case.

Carefully designed to offer an authentic tone and character by master luthier Michael Sanden, the Tanglewood Sundance Historic range of acoustic guitars aims to meet the market demand for simple, understated, 1940s-style solid-top guitars.
Designed in the UK, under the stewardship of Swedish master luthier Michael Sanden, these instruments evoke plenty of traditional style. Each guitar has a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, a laurel fingerboard, multiple celluloid binding, a reinforcing neck volute, a genuine bone nut and saddle, and Waverly-style open gear tuners. Additional features include Tanglewood’s new parallel bridge pin system, and a soft V neck profile.
The solid Spruce tops are tuned, braced, and aged to produce optimum performance and their understated looks are certainly deceiving, the minute you strum a chord and hear how great they sound you’ll find a Historic guitar very difficult to put back down.
