Description
This Fender Stratocaster was part of a run of ‘Squier Series’ of Fenders made in the early 90s in their Ensenada, Mexico factory. Constructed from US made bodies and necks these are generally considered to be every bit as good as a standard Mexican Stratocaster with slightly cheaper Mexican and Eastern components, hence the ‘Squier Series’. Fender dropped the ‘Squier Series’ in the mid-90s as their Squier line of instruments manufactured in the far-East became more popular and people found the naming of these guitars confusing (this is a proper Fender and not a Squier!).
Overall the guitar is in good condition. There are no major dents or chips in the body however there are some scratches as to be expected on a guitar of this age. There is a fairly deep scratch in the skunk stripe as well as another couple of dents on the neck. There is also a lacquer crack in the neck pocket on one side, around 1 1/2 inches long. Frets are in great condition with very minimal fret wear.
Fender Machine Gun style hard case is included (minimal damage – a few scuffs here and there)! We have fully serviced and set-up the guitar with a great low action and Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (9-42).
Please note: this is a pre-owned instrument and as such may have signs of wear and tear. We have tried to capture any damage in the photos provided so please study them carefully before placing an order. If you would like any additional photos then please get in touch.
